After graduating from Forth Valley College with an HND in Sports Coaching, Connor gained over 6 years of health, fitness and nutrition experience. During this time, he worked within the fitness industry and completed a further HND in Fitness Health & Exercise. He launched the Engine Room in January 2018 and has built an incredible fitness community within the Falkirk area.
Exercise and fitness are Connor’s passion and since starting his coaching career has had the pleasure of working with many amazing clients. Connor values his Engine Room members more than anything and strives to meet the needs of all who attend his classes. Connor is unique as he really cares. He takes the time to listen to all clients and supports them on their specific journeys. The Engine Room is fun, exciting and very welcoming – Connor is at the heart of this as it’s his personality and professionalism that allows The Engine Room community to thrive.
Connor is qualified in REPS Level 2 Gym Instructor and REPS Level 2 Exercise to Music Instructor. He attends many local networking groups and when not working, loves to exercise and spend time with his girlfriend, Alex.
Liam has been in the sport and fitness industry since he was 17 years old. He has coached football at home and abroad in the USA. He has also competed at pro youth level in football and boxed at amateur level during his sporting career.
Over the last 7 years he has worked within a commercial gym environment where he has gained experience teaching group fitness classes, running weight loss programmes, prescribing training programmes and offering nutritional support to clients.
He has studied Health & Fitness at Forth Valley College and Strength and Conditioning at Abertay University and holds a valid ITEC level 3 qualification in sports massage.
He now runs his own business OWNNIT where he specialises in 1-2-1 personal training, sports injuries and sport performance.
Michelle has been in the fitness industry for 10 years after completing an HND in Health, Fitness & Exercise at Falkirk College. She first started out as a fitness instructor at Falkirk Council Gyms before spending 5 years on Royal Caribbean Cruise Company as a fitness instructor and entertainment host.
She is a qualified Level 3 Personal Trainer and Coach at The Engine Room, Ownnit and Bannatynes. She is passionate about helping people live healthier and happier lifestyles through exercise and nutrition. She believes exercise is for everyone no matter their starting fitness level and encourages them every step of the way on the journey to help them achieve their goals.
She is also a Les Mills Tribe Coach (helping other people become instructors) and is also Elite in Body Attack and Body Combat and teaches Body Balance too.
Heather has been working with Connor at The Engine Room since the opening in January 2018.
Her role is to ensure the smooth operation of the gym and she has a wide range of responsibilities which include administration, communication, maintenance and the business & social calendars.
You will also find her participating in the various classes when possible. This also allows her to keep in touch with the gym members and when she’s not in class you will more often than not find her on sidelines ensuring everything is going to plan.
